Since its inception, the firm has been well received by the building and development industry and has seen very encouraging results in terms of work intake in the areas of building regulation consultancy and building certification services. The company focuses on achieving the following objectives on a continuous and progressive basis:

Harry is the founding Director of Advance Building Approvals and has over 25 years’ experience in the building and development industry. After 10 stimulating years as a building surveyor and building control officer, and an additional three years as the Head of the commercial Building Services Unit of the City of Sydney, Harry took up the challenge of establishing Advance Building Approvals as a private building certification and building regulations consulting practice in 2001. Over the last 15 years, Harry has undertaken the role of certifying authority and principal certifying authority for many iconic projects within the State of New South Wales.

Saeid has a high reputation in the building surveying and certification industry. As the former Group Manager of Living City Building Services of the City of Sydney up to 2002, and a Director of Advance Building Approvals since then, Saeid was involved in a large number of landmark projects both inside and outside the City’s boundary and acquired a wealth of experience in building regulation consultation and certification.

Ian has broad and extensive knowledge of building surveying principles which he applies on projects ranging from major commercial, industrial, institutional to medium and low density residential housing projects. Ian is a keen achiever of professional knowledge and qualifications in both planning and building surveying disciplines. Through his post graduate studies in the area of Town Planning, Ian brought to the practice valuable expertise in satisfying our client’s needs in providing one-stop advice on planning and building regulation related matters.

Choon is a professional building surveyor experienced in all facets of building surveying and building regulations consultation. He acquired invaluable experience as a senior building surveyor in the City of Sydney for projects of all sizes within the Sydney CBD area. In the 20 years, Choon has practised in the private building regulations consultancy field and has also gained extensive experience in BCA and building regulation consultation for a variety of building projects.
